Day 109

A breath of life, a time of cleansing.

It’s hard to to explain how refreshing today was. To get to the best part of my day… Today I walked in to Glazer’s Coffee for the first time. I was homey and quiet. I found myself a table and ordered a soy mocha. I spent 3+ hours in there. It was the most refreshing part of being back in Hawaii. I finally finished the introduction to The Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac and will soon start on the actual book. I wrote in my new journal for the first time and I haven’t written in a journal for a long time. I wrote 7 full pages and a poem/creative piece on the 8th. It was the best time. I had “Come On Get Higher” by Matt Nathanson on repeat. It was different hearing it in my headphoens that way but I loved it. It was just the most cleansing thing. I felt like I was “home”. Portland is filled with coffee shops for me to be in; Hawaii is not. I will be going here a whole lot more this summer. I plan to go there this Saturday is anyone would like to join me. It is at 2700 South King St. Email me or contact me in someway if you’d like to meet up.

Song: “Car Crash” - Matt Nathanson (I’ve been feeling this way a bit lately)
